Bill Passed to Ban Online Gambling Portals
- On 24th September 2021, a bill was passed in Karnataka Legislative Council to ban online gambling portals.
- The Karnataka Police (Amendment) Bill, 2021 aims at banning all the online sites that promote gambling through games or through means of betting.
- The Police will now have authority to act against persons promoting such sites. Even those portals that invite online betting during horse race will come under the ambit of this bill. ....
