- Autocratic Rule of the Czars: Alexander II, the second czar of Russia, instituted various reforms and rose to fame. But after him, the tsars Nicholas II and Alexander III rose to power. Political organisations like Meer, Jemstvo, and Duma lost their political clout during their rule. The Czarist regime stoked the rebellion among Russia's working class, rural population, intellectuals, and students. Russia experienced rising public unrest over time. Hatred for the Czars thus got its start.
