Greater Flamingo Sanctuary at Dhanushkodi
- The Tamil Nadu government has officially declared a Greater Flamingo sanctuary at Dhanushkodi in Ramanathapuram district.
- This sanctuary aims to protect migratory bird habitats and enhance biodiversity in the region. Spanning 524.7 hectares, it is an important part of the Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve.
