First Double-Decker Electric Bus Launched in Lucknow
- Recently, the state of Uttar Pradesh recently introduced its first double-decker electric bus in Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the service as part of the Aakanksha Haat program at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.
- This newly launched initiative aims to decrease traffic congestion and jam in cities. It will also support environmental conservation and reduce air pollution in the city.
- The bus can carry up to 65 passengers at once. Passengers paying digitally will get a 10% discount.
- For added safety, especially for women, the bus is equipped with five CCTV cameras and a panic button
