Chief Minister’s Teachers’ Cashless Medical Scheme

On 9th July 2026, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Chief Minister’s Teachers’ Cashless Medical Scheme in Varanasi, providing cashless health coverage of up toRs.5 lakh.

  • The scheme will benefit over 15 lakh teachers, non-teaching staff, Shiksha Mitras, instructors, cooks, and eligible employees of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, along with their families.
  • An MoU with the State Bank of India (SBI) was signed to provide a comprehensive social security and insurance package for education department employees.
  • Contractual employees earning more thanRs.10,000 per month will receive personal accident insurance ofRs.30–80 lakh, along with coverage for disability, air accidents, children's education, and daughters' marriage in ....
