Attitude is an acquired, enduring, and organized mental state of an individual toward a person, object, event, or idea, which directs their behavior. It can be positive or negative.

Example

An officer’s 'negative attitude toward corruption' – they refuse to take bribes and take action against corrupt subordinates.
