World Employment and Social Outlook: Trends 2024

On 10th January, 2024, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) released its report under the title - World Employment and Social Outlook: Trends 2024.

  • The report shows a complex scenario, characterised by disparities between high- and low-income countries, a large part of the workforce employed informally and the prevision of a slight increase in global unemployment in 2024.

  • The macroeconomic environment deteriorated significantly over 2023.
