WASH Warriors
On 27th January 2026, the Ministry of Jal Shakti organised a ‘Samvad Samaroh’ and recognition programme for WASH tarriors in New Delhi.
- WASH Warriors are grassroots champions from rural communities who drive initiatives in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), particularly under the Jal Jeevan Mission and related programmes.
- Their primary aim is to ensure safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene through community participation (Jan Bhagidari) while promoting inclusive and sustainable outcomes, especially for women and vulnerable groups.
