Speed Skating World Championship 2025

The Speed Skating World Championship 2025 was held in Beidaihe, China from 13–21 September 2025.

  • The Indian team made history by winning a total of 5 medals (3 Gold and 2 Bronze).
  • With this performance, India secured 5th place in the championship.
  • The most outstanding performance for India came from Anandkumar Velkumar, who became the first Indian to win a senior-level medal, winning 2 Golds (1000m sprint & 42,195m marathon) and 1 Bronze (500m sprint).
  • In the junior category, Krish Sharma won India’s first junior gold in the 1000m sprint, while Anish Raj won Bronze in the Junior Men’s 1 ....
