  • Recently, All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, launched the ‘Garbhini Mitra’ course for the 2026-27 academic session.
  • The six-month offline course aims to train personnel in pregnancy and postnatal health support.
  • The programme is based on Ayurvedic concepts of Garbhini Paricharya, Sutika Paricharya and Garbhadhana Vidhi.
  • The curriculum covers pregnancy diet, lifestyle guidance, yoga, emotional support and newborn care.
  • It also includes training in infection control, sanitisation, biomedical waste management and basic life support.
