Centre Launches Nationwide Cloud & AI Skilling Initiative

On 23rd August 2026, the Union government launched the nationwide cloud & AI skilling initiative in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

What is Nationwide Cloud and AI Skilling Initiative?

  • Skilling Program: A nationwide, 100% online digital workforce development and skilling program designed to bridge the technical divide in non-metropolitan regions.
  • Outcome-led Learning Pathway: It delivers an outcome-led learning pathway-from self-paced digital literacy and instructor-led technical coursework to globally recognized AWS certifications and employer interview linkages.
  • Aim: To provide underserved youth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns with industry-ready technical skills, credentials and direct access to technology jobs.
