Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDKY)
On 1st February 2025, Finance Minister announced the launch of the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDKY) during the Union Budget presentation.
- The scheme aims to enhance agricultural productivity and ensure financial support for farmers.
Inspired by the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP)
- PMDKY follows the successful model of the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP) launched in 2018.
- ADP aimed to transform 112 underdeveloped districts based on Convergence, Collaboration, and Competition.
- It focused on Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, and Infrastructure through a monthly ranking system.
Targeted Districts under PMDKY
- The scheme will cover 100 districts based on:
- Low agricultural productivity
- Moderate cropping intensity
- Below-average credit ....
