Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDKY)

On 1st February 2025, Finance Minister announced the launch of the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDKY) during the Union Budget presentation.

  • The scheme aims to enhance agricultural productivity and ensure financial support for farmers.

Inspired by the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP)

  • PMDKY follows the successful model of the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP) launched in 2018.
  • ADP aimed to transform 112 underdeveloped districts based on Convergence, Collaboration, and Competition.
  • It focused on Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, and Infrastructure through a monthly ranking system.

Targeted Districts under PMDKY

  • The scheme will cover 100 districts based on:
    • Low agricultural productivity
    • Moderate cropping intensity
    • Below-average credit ....
