Immigration, Visa, Foreigners Registration & Tracking (IVFRT) Scheme
On 25th March 2026, the Union Cabinet approved the continuation of the Immigration, Visa, Foreigners Registration & Tracking (IVFRT) Scheme for a period of five years, from 2026 to 2031.
What is IVFRT Scheme?
- This mission-mode project aims to create a secure and integrated framework to manage the entire lifecycle of travelers entering, staying, and exiting India.
- The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- It was originally approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on May 13, 2010.

- Interconnected Digital Network: The scheme integrates more than 117 Immigration Check Posts, 15 Foreigners Regional Registration Offices, ....
