Mig La Pass

  • Recently, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under Project Himank achieved a historic milestone by constructing the world’s highest motorable road at Mig La Pass in Ladakh, situated at an altitude of 19,400 feet above sea level—surpassing its own previous Guinness World Record.
  • Mig La Pass is located on the Changthang Plateau in Ladakh, which is part of the Trans-Himalayan region.
  • This road serves as an important link along the Likaru–Mig La–Fukche axis, connecting the Fukche airfield to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
