CE20 Cryogenic Engine: ISRO Achieves Major Milestone
On 12th December 2024, ISRO informed that it had successfully carried out a critical test of the CE20 cryogenic engine, marking a key step for future space missions, including Gaganyaan and other advanced LVM3 launches.
- Test Details: The CE20 cryogenic engine passed a critical sea-level hot test at the ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu.
- Objective: This test was aimed at validating restart-enabling systems for future missions.

- Engine Development: Developed by the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, the CE20 engine powers the upper stage of the LVM3 launch vehicle.
