Labour Force Participation

LFPR is defined as the percentage of persons in labour force (i.e. working or seeking or available for work) in the population. In India, LFPR is a key indicator of economic engagement, workforce utilisation, and inclusive growth, and is officially measured through Periodic Labour Force Surveys.

Recent Trends in Labour Force Participation (November, 2025)
