The Trade and Development Report 2025
On 2nd December 2025, the Trade and Development Report 2025 was released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
- The Report maps out the terrain where trade meets finance, identifies mechanisms through which financial conditions shape trade outcomes and proposes concrete measures to build resilience while preserving openness.

- Global economic growth is expected to slow from 2.9 per cent in 2024 to 2.6 per cent in 2025.
- This deceleration reflects weaker momentum following a period of frontloaded imports, the effects of which are expected to extend into 2026.
