Global Carbon Budget 2025
On 13th November 2025, the Global Carbon Budget (GCB) 2025 was released by the Global Carbon Project (GCP).
- The GCB tracks the trends in global carbon emissions and sinks and is a key measure of progress to towards the goals of the Paris Agreement.
- The Global Carbon Project is an international research project within the Future Earth research initiative on global sustainability, and a research partner of the World Climate Research Programme.
- It aims to develop a complete picture of the global carbon cycle, including both its biophysical and human dimensions, together with the interactions and feedbacks between them.
