Vadnagar’s Link with Buddhism
On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Indian Prime Minister in Lumbini said that his birthplace Vadnagar in Gujarat’s Mehsana district had been a great centre for Buddhist learning centuries ago.

- Vadnagar, located in the Mehsana district in Gujarat is also called Chamatkarpur, Anandpur, Snehpur and Vimalpur; the city of Vadnagar was mentioned in the Puranas as well.
