Revised Rashtriya Gokul Mission for 2024–25 and 2025–26

  • The revised National Gokul Mission has been approved with an allocation of Rs. 3,400 crore for the period 2021–22 to 2025–26, as recommended by the 15th Finance Commission.
  • Due to the implementation of this mission and other government initiatives, milk production has increased by 63.55% over the past 10 years.
  • Per capita milk availability has risen from 307 grams per day in 2013–14 to 471 grams per day in 2023–24.
  • Under the mission’s Nationwide Artificial Insemination Programme, farmers in 605 districts are provided free artificial insemination services—particularly in areas where AI coverage is less than 50%.
