Greening India’s MSMEs: A Roadmap for Clean Industrial Transition
On 21st January 2026, NITI Aayog released a report, titled ‘Roadmap for Green Transition of MSMEs’. The report calls for a rapid green transition of India’s 69 million MSMEs to safeguard both climate goals and economic competitiveness. It argues that without targeted policy support, the sector, despite being the backbone of India’s economy, may struggle to survive rising global and regulatory pressures.
