NITI Aayog, UNICEF India Partner to Improve Nutrition and Health in Aspirational Districts

On 5th March 2026, NITI Aayog and UNICEF India signed a Statement of Intent to support strategic interventions in Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks.

Purpose

  • To leverage the strengths of both institutions to advance efforts toward improved maternal and child nutrition outcomes in underserved regions.

Focus Areas

  • Strengthening Anganwadi infrastructure,
  • Enhancing nutrition literacy,
  • Improving the uptake of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and
  • Building the capacity of frontline workers.
