Second Phase of KIRTI Programme Launched
On 19th July, 2024, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports launched the second phase of the Central government’s Khelo India Rising Talent Identification (KIRTI) programme at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.
- The first phase was launched in Chandigarh on March 12, 2024.
Major Highlights
- Aim: To identify talent across the country through mass participation and structured assessment programs.
- Focus: This phase focuses on assessing the sporting talent of students from Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) schools.
- Talent Identification Model: KIRTI’s talent identification model has been scientifically planned using IT tools and global best practices.
