Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs)

As per the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) has successfully trained over 60 lakh candidates and enabled livelihoods for over 43 lakh rural youth.

  • RSETIs offer free skills training and support to help rural youths (18–50 years) establish micro-enterprises.
  • Unlike standard skilling centres, RSETIs provide post-training support for at least two years and help trainees get bank loans under schemes like PMMY.
  • The initiative replicates the Rural Development and Self-Employment Training Institute (RUDSETI) model pioneered in Karnataka.
