Differentiated Banking (Nicheket Mor Committee)
Differentiated Banks (niche banks) are banks that serve the needs of a certain demographic segment of the population. It can be classified as Payment Banks, Small Finance Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Local Area Banks Wholesale and Long-Term Finance (WLTF) banks etc.
- Nichekat More Committee was formed in sept. 2013 and in its recommendations, the committee mooted the idea of ‘differentiated bank’.
