The Union Budget 2026-27 places Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at the centre of India’s growth story, unveiling a comprehensive strategy to transform them into globally competitive champions.
- Recognising the sector’s pivotal role in employment generation and exports, the Budget proposes a three-pronged approach to strengthen MSMEs at scale.

- A dedicated Rs. 10,000 crore SME Growth Fund has been announced to generate future champions by incentivising enterprises based on defined eligibility criteria.
