2nd India-CARICOM Summit
On 20th November 2024, Indian and Grenadian Prime Ministers co-chaired the 2nd India-CARICOM Summit in Georgetown.
- The summit was hosted by the President of Guyana with attendance from multiple CARICOM leaders.
Highlights of the Summit
- Solidarity and Support: India’s Prime Minister expressed condolences for the destruction caused by Hurricane Beryl and reaffirmed India's commitment as a reliable partner to CARICOM.
- Seven-Point Assistance Plan: PM announced assistance in Capacity Building, Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Innovation, Cricket and Culture, Ocean Economy, and Medicine (CARICOM acronym).
- Capacity Building: India will offer 1,000 more ITEC slots over five years.
- Agriculture and Food Security: India shared advancements in drone technology, digital farming, ....
