Inquiry into Deaths of Elephants in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve
In November 2024, the Union Government initiated an enquiry into the deaths of ten elephants in the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh.

- The Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has set up a team for an independent inquiry into the elephant deaths at Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
- The Madhya Pradesh Government has constituted a five-member committee, including civil society members, scientists, and veterinarians, to independently investigate and submit findings. The committee is led by the APCCF (Wildlife).
