India-Belgium: Boosting Trade and Strategic Investments
- On 2nd May 2025, India’s Commerce Minister met Belgian leaders in Brussels to strengthen bilateral trade, industrial ties, and cooperation in key sectors.
- Discussions centred on semiconductors, clean energy, defence production, and pharmaceuticals.
- Both nations assessed progress on the EU-India Free Trade Agreement and emphasized resolving tariff and non-tariff barriers.
- Belgium is India’s 5th-largest EU trade partner with $15.07 billion in bilateral trade in 2023–24.
