Uzbekistan Joins the New Development Bank (NDB)
On 5th June 2026, Uzbekistan officially became the 10th member of the New Development Bank after completing the ratification of the NDB Articles of Agreement.
- Uzbekistan is the first Central Asian country to become a member of the NDB.
Key Highlights
- The NDB is expected to begin identifying and financing projects in Uzbekistan in sectors such as:
- Energy
- Water management
- Transport
- Municipal infrastructure
- Social infrastructure
