US and Iran Signed MoUs to Extend Ceasefire
On 19th June 2026, the United States and Iran signed a 14-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) extending the ceasefire and initiating negotiations for a comprehensive peace agreement.
Key Provisions
- Declared an immediate ceasefire and committed to end military operations while respecting each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
- Agreed to negotiate a final agreement within 60 days, with the timeline extendable by mutual consent.
- Iran committed to:
- Never develop or acquire nuclear weapons.
- Cooperate with the management of its enriched uranium under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) supervision.
- The US agreed to:
- Gradually lift economic sanctions, subject to Iran's compliance.
- Remove its naval blockade and restore normal maritime ....
