Environmental Performance Index 2022
Recently, the Environmental Performance Index (EPI) 2022 was released. It provides a data-driven summary of the state of sustainability around the world.
About the Index
- A biennial index, EPI was started in 2002 as Environmental Sustainability Index by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in collaboration with the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy and the Columbia University Center for International Earth Science Information Network.
- Parameters: The 2022 EPI considers 40 performance indicators grouped into 11 issue categories.
- Policy Objectives: The issue categories are aggregated into 3 policy objectives i.e., Environmental Health; Ecosystem Vitality; and Climate Change.
