Vibrant Villages Programme-II
- In February 2026, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Vibrant Villages Programme–II (VVP–II) in Assam.

- The Vibrant Villages Programme-II focuses on the integrated development of "First Villages" located along the northern borders.

- The initiative targets nineteen districts across Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and the Ladakh union territory.
