Monument Conservation & Private Players
- In January 2026, the Ministry of Culture allowed private agencies to undertake conservation of protected monuments, a role traditionally held by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
- The move is aimed to bring in private expertise and funding while retaining ASI’s supervisory control.

- The Ministry of Culture launched "Adopt a Heritage 2.0" to enhance visitor amenities through corporate participation.
