Bamanwas Kankar Panchayat Becomes Rajasthan’s First Organic Panchayat

  • Taking a major step towards a sustainable future, Bamanwas Kankar Panchayat has become Rajasthan’s first fully certified organic gram panchayat.
  • To formally mark this achievement, the panchayat organized an oath-taking ceremony against chemical farming and animal husbandry on 2 January 2026.
  • The transformation was supported by the Co-Farmers Federation of Organic Societies and Producer Companies (COFED).
  • The panchayat is located in the newly formed Kotputli–Behror district.
  • It comprises seven villages/hamlets.
