India’s First and World’s Largest Green Ammonia Complex

  • On 17th January 2026, the foundation stone for AM Green’s Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia Complex was laid in Kakinada.
  • The Andhra Pradesh Government had approved the project in January 2025.
  • Supported by an investment of approximately Rs.83,000 crore (USD 10 billion), the project will establish India’s first and the world’s largest green ammonia complex.
  • The complex will be developed over 495 acres in Kakinada.
  • The planned production capacity is 1.5 million tonnes per annum.
  • The project is being developed through a brownfield conversion of Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited’s existing ammonia-urea plant.
