India’s First and World’s Largest Green Ammonia Complex
- On 17th January 2026, the foundation stone for AM Green’s Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia Complex was laid in Kakinada.
- The Andhra Pradesh Government had approved the project in January 2025.
- Supported by an investment of approximately Rs.83,000 crore (USD 10 billion), the project will establish India’s first and the world’s largest green ammonia complex.
- The complex will be developed over 495 acres in Kakinada.
- The planned production capacity is 1.5 million tonnes per annum.
- The project is being developed through a brownfield conversion of Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited’s existing ammonia-urea plant.
