First National Biobank for Rare Lysosomal Storage Disorders

In February 2026, a national biobank for rare diseases was established in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

  • The facility is housed at the FRIGE’s Institute of Human Genetics. It collects and stores patient samples along with detailed clinical data.
