Mughal Emperors
Babur (1526-1530)
- Babur was the founder of the Mughal Empire in India, belonging to a princely family of mixed Mongol and Turkish descent.
- He established Mughal rule after defeating Ibrahim Lodi in the First Battle of Panipat in 1526.
- Babur defeated Rana Sanga of Mewar at the Battle of Khanwa (1527) and Medini Rai at the Battle of Chanderi (1528).
- He is also known for writing his biography, Baburnama (Tuzk-e-Babri), in the Turkish language.
- Babur died in 1530.
Humayun (1530-1540, 1555-1556)
- Humayun succeeded Babur at the young age of 23 but faced defeat by Sher Shah Suri in the Battles of Chausa (1539) ....
