Bond Yield

On 18th August 2025, yields on the benchmark Indian sovereign bonds climbed the most in more than 14 months after Prime Minister, in his I-Day address, announced fewer and likely lower slabs for indirect taxes.

  • Bond Yield is the return an investor expects to receive each year over its term to maturity.
  • It partially depends on coupon payments, which refer to the periodic interest income obtained as a reward for holding bonds.
