Biological Diversity (Amendment) Bill, 2021
On 1st August, 2023, the Rajya Sabha passed the Biological Diversity (Amendment) Bill, 2021. The Lok Sabha had passed the Bill on 25th July, 2023. The Bill amends the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 to simplify compliance requirements for domestic companies.

- Purpose of the Bill: The Bill seeks to address issues and ensure that tribes and vulnerable communities benefit from medicinal forest products.
