Recent Developments

  • India's horticulture production is estimated to reach a record 367.72 million tonnes (MT) in the 2024-25 crop year (July-June), marking a 3.66% increase over the previous year.
  • This includes an estimated 114.51 MT of fruits (up 1.36%) and 219.67 MT of vegetables (up 6%), with significant increases in potato (60.17 MT) and onion (30.77 MT, up 27%).
