Skill India & Entrepreneurship
The Skill India Mission, launched in 2015 under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, integrates PMKVY 4.0, PM‑NAPS, and JSS schemes to deliver industry-aligned vocational training and entrepreneurship support. Over 6 crore individuals have been trained, boosting employability and creating self‑employment opportunities nationwide.
Recent Developments
- The Union Cabinet approved the continuation and restructuring of the Skill India Programme (SIP) until 2026, with an outlay of Rs. 8,800 crore from 2022-23 to 2025-26.
