Trade Trends 2024-25: Deficit, Composition, Export Markets

India’s external sector remained resilient in FY 2024-25 despite global uncertainty. Total exports (goods and services) rose about 5.5% to USD 820.9 billion, while imports stood at USD 915.2 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of USD 94.3 billion (1.1 % of GDP). Services exports grew strongly (12%).
