Public Accounts Committee (PAC)
- On 12th February 2025, the PAC urged the government to reassess the existing rules that determine toll taxes on National Highways.
- The Public Accounts Committees, both at the Centre and in the Provinces, were constituted for the first time, under the Montague–Chelmsford Reforms, in 1921.
- The Public Accounts Committee is now constituted every year and functions under Rule 308 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha.
