IndiaAI and Meta Join Forces for Open Source AI Innovation
On 25th October 2024, IndiaAI and Meta announced the establishment of the Center for Generative AI and launched the YuvAi Initiative for advancing AI skill development and open-source AI solutions across key sectors in India.
- Srijan, the Center for Generative AI will be established at IIT Jodhpur.
- The YuvAi Initiative aims to equip 100,000 students and young developers aged 18-30 with AI skills using open-source large language models (LLMs) to address real-world challenges.
- Meta’s support will enhance India’s indigenous AI capabilities through skill development, contributing to the AI ecosystem across healthcare, education, agriculture, smart cities, and financial inclusion.
