On 13th October 2025, NITI Aayog released a report, titled “India’s Blue Economy: Strategy for Harnessing Deep-Sea and Offshore Fisheries”, outlining a scientific, sustainable, and inclusive roadmap for developing India’s deep-sea and offshore fisheries.
