National Indicator Framework Progress Report, 2026

On 29th June 2026, on the occasion of the 20th Statistics Day, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation released the Sustainable Development Goals-National Indicator Framework Progress Report, 2026.

  • It provides a comprehensive mechanism for tracking progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves as an important evidence base for policy formulation and programme implementation.

SDG 1: No Poverty

  • Multidimensional poverty declined to 14.96% (2019–21).
  • Gender budgeting allocation continued to rise.
  • Social protection coverage increased from 22.0% (2016) to 65.3% (2026).

  • Conserved genetic resources increased to 4.92 lakh plant, ....
