Protected Planet Report 2024
Recently, the UN Environment Programme-World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) released the Protected Planet Report 2024.
- It is the 1st report to assess global status of Protected and Conserved Areas (PCA) in the context of Target 3 of Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).
- Target 3 aims to expand the global network of Protected and Conserved Areas (PCA) to cover 30% of the planet by 2030.
