Electric Vehicle Policy 2026
- On 13th May 2026, the Bihar Cabinet approved the Bihar Electric Vehicle (Amendment) Policy, 2026 to promote green mobility in the state.
- The policy aims to reduce pollution and decrease dependence on petrol and diesel vehicles in Bihar.
- The policy targets at least 30% of all new vehicle registrations in Bihar by 2030 to be electric vehicles.
- Under the policy, women purchasing electric cars registered in their name will receive a direct subsidy ofRs.1 lakh.
- Financial assistance ofRs.10,000 will be provided for electric two-wheelers to general category beneficiaries, while SC/ST beneficiaries will ....
