- Recently, the Government of Uttar Pradesh approved theRs.33,000 crore Meja Stage-II Thermal Power Expansion Project in Prayagraj.
- The project aims to strengthen the state’s energy security and meet rising electricity demand.
- The Meja Stage-II project will add 2,400 MW of thermal power generation capacity through three units of 800 MW each.
- The expansion project involves an estimated investment of nearlyRs.33,000 crore over the next five years.
